Go ahead, be Jealous!

Yeah, I got a HOTTTTT date this Friday. Yeah, that's tomorrow so not much time to plan the wardrobe. Actually, I got two HOTTTTT dates.

The first one will occur around lunchtime at the Olive Garden. I got a huge bowl full of salad and some bread sticks waiting with my luscious name on them. I am dining with my little man and his little gal pal, Victoria. Veronica is going to make sure food fights are not on the schedule. She is the chaperone because when you party like I do, you need a good woman to have your back. She is that good woman.

Tomorrow night..... yeah, that's right. I will be with little man and big poppa at the DOODLE BOPS concert. Jealous! I had been trying to win tickets for the past two weeks. Every morning on my way to work I would call the three radio stations I knew were offering them and finally, FINALLY, I talked my way into them. I called to ask who an artist was and when the dj told me, I said, "Great, could you NEVER play it again? It totally sucks."

He knew exactly who I was! I do this to the guy all the time. Only this time, he said he totally appreciated my honesty (I also tell him when he is on his game) and my listenership. So I asked if I could be rewarded with tickets and I got them! And, certificates to Chick-fil-A! You know, cuz kids love that stuff.

So if the boy hates the Doodle Bops and wants to leave (you never can tell with little guys), then it is no green out of my wallet!

Oh, and did I mention that a prof is leaving and I get to take over teaching his upper-division poetry and drama and novel and short story courses? So unbelievably excited. I love this new university and the faculty is nothing short of awesome. They have all been outgoing and super friendly. AND, my chairperson is the coolest gal ever!!! Professional and approachable. Just the nicest boss I've had since Stuart and Cheryl. It has been a looooong time.

AND AND AND!!!!! I enrolled little dude in school today. The Prof who has her office directly across from mine has four boys. I, of course, have to talk to her about schools and stuff and she tells me about this program and there happens to be an opening for a two year old. I went over to meet the lady she told me about today and I was sooooo sold! He will be going on Tuesdays and Thursdays. AND, he will only be a couple of miles away from me! Love it. His first 'school'.

Things are so looking up. Hubby gets to publish an artsy fartsy book of his designs and photos and we got Season 2, Disc 1 of Upstairs, Downstairs from Netflix today! Life is good!

Off to make homemade sub sandwiches now!

Tah, tah.
